Compatibility Check
Before starting:
Wheel Size: Ensure the motor wheel matches your bike's size (26", 27.5", or 29")
Dropout Width: Rear dropout spacing should be 135–145mm
Frame Type: Fits most hardtail mountain bikes above 18"
Battery Fit: Downtube should accommodate the battery cradle (check bottle mount holes)
Step-by-Step Installation Guide
1. Safety First

Disconnect your current battery (if applicable)

Turn the bike upside down or place it in a stand

Wear gloves and eye protection if necessary
2. Install the Motor Wheel

Remove your existing rear wheel
-
Insert the Lecky Rider 2000W motor wheel into the dropouts
-
Fit the torque arms securely on both sides to prevent axle spin
-
Tighten axle nuts with a 15mm wrench
-
Ensure disc brake rotor and cassette are aligned properly

3. Mount the Battery

Use the bottle mount bolts to attach the battery cradle to your bike's downtube

Connect the battery’s power cable to the controller using the XT60 connector

Slide the battery onto the cradle until it clicks and locks

Test the lock and remove the key
4. Install the Controller

Place the controller inside the included bag
-
Feed all the wires from the other parts through the controller bag, such as wires coming from the:

PAS sensor

Match connectors by shape and colour — it’s fully plug-and-play
5. Install the Pedal Assist Sensor (optional)

Remove left crank arm
-
Slide the magnetic disc over the crank axle

Mount the PAS sensor on the frame near the bottom bracket

Reattach crank, ensuring the disc passes closely by the sensor when pedalling

Plug the PAS cable into the controller
6. Mount the Display & Throttle

Slide the M8 display onto your handle bar and tighten it
-
Mount the Sur-Ron throttle and Pro Taper grips (replace your existing)

Use zip ties to tidy your wiring
7. Final Connections & Cable Management

Double-check all connections are secure

Power on the display and test system response
-
Use zip ties to secure wires away from moving parts
